What is tantra?!
last update : Friday, September 5th, 2008
Let me
(Sono)
first ask you two questions:
1. What problem would you have if you would accept yourself TOTALLY?
and
2. How would your life be if you would meet every situation as your beloved?
HOLD-ON a minute…
STOP!
Do NOT read any further!!
Tantra is about EXPERIENCING, about FEELING, about YOUR LIFE!
So I really insist upon taking a break and answering these questions before you continue or… you'll miss the point.

To understand what tantra is, I ask you to drop ALL IDEAS you could have about tantra.
Ready…?
OK, thanks, here we go!
1. In the first place: tantra offers you to KNOW yourself COMPLETELY, without any judgment, restriction (taboos), assumption or concept.
2. Next, tantra offers you the possibility to develop your HEART-energy, so that you may love yourself UNCONDITIONALLY.
This allows you to be more open to others, especially to those who are close to you.
3. Tantra is a path of awareness. By not having any restriction (taboo, concept, ideology), you are allowed - and strongly encouraged - to EXPLORE EVERYTHING.
Every emotion, desire,
fear,
frustration, … is welcome. Everything may be experienced. There are no more restrictions, just those YOU impose upon yourself.
This requires a great deal of respect and maturity.
That's why, in all our workshops, RESPECT is our core concern.
4. To be able to face your deepest secrets, you need COURAGE. Tantra gives you the tools to empower and strengthen yourself.
In all our workshops we take time to work on personal empowerment.
In our advanced workshops (as well as in our evolution groups), we spend quite some time on the TRANSPERSONAL process. every time we have a glimpse of our True Nature, we'll cherish that moment and, if possible, let it expand as much as we can.
6. Originally, tantra was taught (i.e. "put in practice") on an individual basis. Only after years of training, the candidate-tantrika was put in contact with others.
Today we live in a totally different world. That is why, in all our workshops, we "work" (read "we experience") as well alone, as with a partner, as in a group.
7. The hardest task of a
tantrika
is to become aware and to drop his BELIEFS and CONCEPTS. Only by facing
life
in a pure (unpolluted) way we can discover the
truth.

The tantrika
A tantrika is somebody practicing tantra.
A tantrika is somebody who…
• has the CURIOSITY of a child and the ENTHUSIASM of an adolescent;
• who loves life PASSIONATELY with the MATURITY of a responsible adult;
• who is FREE as an enlightened one and HAPPY as a sage.
And also:
A tantrika is somebody who is PRESENT; present to himself, the other, to what's happening around him… with an OPEN HEART.
(S)He is aware about everything life is giving and passionately involved with all her/his senses.
Every situation gives an opportunity to evolve even further, to give oneself, to be in awe by the beauty of life.
